The President of Wroclaw, Jacek Sutryk, was accused of providing financial assistance to the former rector of the Humanum College to obtain a diploma from this university, as well as using this illegal document to extort PLN 230,000. The prosecutor's office took preventive measures against him.
The head of the Silesian branch of the National Prosecutor's Office, Tomasz Tadla, announced that Jacek Sutryk “is accused of providing financial benefits to the former rector of the Humanum College”. It's about a bribe Sutrick allegedly gave in exchange for an MBA, even though he never completed it.
As the chief prosecutor adds, after receiving the diploma, the mayor of Wrocław had to use it in several local government institutions. – On this basis, knowing that it is a necessary document to sit in the supervisory councils, he embezzled more than PLN 230,000 in total, – he said.
Arrests in connection with the Collegium Humanum case
He confirmed that in recent days, four people have been arrested in the case of Collegium Humanum in connection with the illegal acquisition of diplomas from these studies, which also involved corrupt practices.
The National Prosecutor's Office submitted an application to the court for the arrest of two suspects – the former deputy of Humanum College and his wife, and against two others – Sutryk and Marian D. In Sutric's case, this is bail and police supervision in the amount of PLN 200,000, together with a ban on contact with other trial participants.
