It's hard not to be spoiled when you're the son of country music superstar Luke Combs. The concerts are sold out, thousands of people adore the “Fast Car” singer and the money never runs out. Honestly, it's as sweet an arrangement as most people could hope for. Plus, it's bound to make the kids at school a little jealous. But Luke thinks it's important not to over-indulge his boys, and to give them at least a taste of what a normal life is like.
Recently, Luke Combs sat down with Audacy's Katie Neal on her Superstar Power Hour show, where he talked about his sons, Beau and Tex, and how he's been raising them over the past few years. He stressed the importance of staying involved with them, despite being a big-name musician. “We don't even have a nanny, so that would be a challenge,” he said. “We've thought about it, but the question isn't, 'Do we have the money?' It's, 'Do we want to do that for our kids?'”

As things stand, that doesn't seem to be on their minds right now. It's healthier for Luke's two sons to lead as normal a life as possible. “And I don't think that's really what we're interested in at this point,” Combs says. “Because we want our kids to live as normal a life as possible, given the situation.”
Plus, he understands why a legend like Garth Brooks retired at the height of his power to become a father. “Obviously people thought he was crazy, but then once you have kids it all makes sense, and you're like, 'Oh, maybe I could retire too,'” Luke muses. “You get to that point where it's like, What can I still accomplish? What do I still need to accomplish? I get that, but I'm not saying that's what I'm going to do.”
