LA CROSSE (WKBT) – Mayo Clinic leaders and community officials held an open house Sunday to celebrate the completion of the new Mayo Clinic Health System hospital in La Crosse.
Patient comfort and safety are the top priorities for the new $215 million project.
The new hospital will be six stories tall and have 96 beds.
The patient rooms are spacious and utilize natural light to create a soothing environment.
The new hospital will include cardiac care, radiology, surgical units, an intensive care unit and a birthing center.
The building design will support collaboration among care teams and ensure patients receive the care they need in-person and through digital platforms.
“Our staff provides excellent care to the community and now they will have a beautiful new facility in which to care for their patients,” said Community Trustee Tanner Holst.
The La Crosse Hospital is the largest construction project in the history of the Mayo Clinic Health System.
