Meghan Markle has been faced with a delay in the launch of her new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, due to copyright issues.
The food and health products brand has had challenges securing its brand name, creating complications for its associated Netflix shows.
The Duchess of Sussex was set to launch the brand with a product line that would include jams that were sent to 50 influencers and celebrities.
But the USPTO cited problems with the classification of certain products, including yoga blankets, picnic baskets and recipe books.
As a result, the release of the Netflix show, which was meant to complement the brand by exploring home, garden and lifestyle content, has reportedly been delayed to mid-2025.
Royal commentator Tom Quinn said that despite his unwavering support, Prince Harry was not equipped to back Meghan's business ventures.
“Harry has never had any realistic thoughts about being an entrepreneur or businessman himself,” Quinn told the Daily Express.
The show is part of Meghan and Harry's $100 million Netflix deal and is expected to “celebrate the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining and friendship.”
