Marek Wojtun became the eighth winner of “Millionaires” of Poland. He started the game for a million on Tuesday, when he was asked, among other things, his knowledge of the dictionary, British mythology and a type of spider. On Wednesday, he reached the final question with no lifeline.
Who is the new winner of “Millionaires”? Marek Wojtun is a physics teacher, lives in Piaseczno. The first question he was asked before the millionaire game was what he would spend his winnings on in the program. His answer was to travel across Canada by rail.

He started his game for a million in Tuesday's episode by asking PLN 500 for a word that occurs in a large number of forms and varieties. He solved this issue without any problems, as well as the issue of a thousand guaranteed zlotys, which was related to the reasons for the establishment of the British Supreme Order by Edward III.
The first steps started with a PLN 2,000 question about combat sports: What do UFC fighters fight in? A: in a circle; B: in a hexagon; C: at the Pentagon; D: in the octagon. The contestant did not know the answer to this question, so he asked Hubert Urbanski to rule out the two wrong answers and therefore use the first line. As for the remaining two answers, Mr. Marek had no doubts and asked to mark answer D. It was a good decision.
Participant used the second lifeline when asking PLN 125,000 for the coat of arms. In the understanding of a person looking at the coat of arms, which aspects of the coat of arms are not the same in terms of flaming? A: lower and upper; B: back and front; C: left and right; D: passive and active. Mr. Marek admitted that it made no sense to him, so after a moment of reflection he asked to use the lifeline to “ask a question to the audience.” It was useful, up to 56 percent of the listeners indicated the answer of the left and right sides. The participant followed the advice of the majority and asked to record this answer. The decision was correct. The next question, worth a quarter of a million zlotys, was not a problem for the teacher, which meant that he finished Tuesday's episode on a positive note.

Mr. Marek's path to a million returned in Wednesday's episode, when he began with a half-million zloty question about the number of tarsal bones in humans. The participant did not know the answer to this question and did not want to risk losing, so he – for the eighth question – a life line that allows him to change the question. After the exchange, Mr. Marek had to answer the question about the TV series.

Changing the question was not entirely helpful, so the participant was asked to use the last line of his life, which was to call his friend. The participant's brother, Mr. Przemek, was waiting on the other side of the phone. The call turned out to be a bull's eye for my brother, as he without hesitation pointed to the correct answer of D, which Mr. Marek asked to mark.

Thanks to the help of his brother, Mr. Marek reached the last question, which is worth one million zlotys. Unfortunately, he no longer had any life support. After Hubert Urbanski read the last question, the physicist took a moment to consider each possible option. It says:

A: llamas B: koalas C: pandas D: deer
Mr. Marek wasn't sure of his answer, but he decided to take a risk and point to answer C: “pandas.” – Either I will be a millionaire or I will be a meme, – he added a moment before making the final decision. It was worth it. By choosing this answer, Mr. Marek Wojtun from Piaseczno became the eighth participant of the “Polish Millionaires” tournament to receive the original prize in history.

Winners of the “Millionaires” contest
In the history of the Polish publication “Millionaires”, eight people have already won the main prize. So far they have been: PhD student Krzysztof Wojcik (2010), retired teacher Maria Romanek (2018), classical philologist Katarzyna Kant-Wysocka (2019), musicologist Jacek Iwasko (2021), accountant Tomasz Orzechowski (2022), Mateuszki (2023) , ) and Tomasz Boruch (2024). On November 13, 2024, Mr. Marek Voytun joined this group.

Each participant of the “Millionaires” program starts the game with three life lines: a phone call to a friend, a half-and-half and a question to the viewer. A fourth lifeline has also appeared since last season: changing a question that appears only after seven correct answers. To enter the history of “Millionaires” among the winners, you must answer Hubert Urbanski's 12 questions correctly.
