President Trump and Zelensky may meet at Notre Dame Cathedral opening ceremony
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy and US President-elect Donald Trump may meet in Paris during the opening ceremony of Notre Dame Cathedral, AFP news agency reported. This is the first meeting of politicians since Trump won the presidential election. Ceremonies are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday. Leaders from 50 countries are scheduled to come to Paris.
AFP news agency reported that the Ukrainian president may meet with US President-elect Donald Trump, citing a senior official in Volodymyr Zelensky's administration.
Zelenskiy will attend a ceremony to mark the completion of restoration work on Notre Dame Cathedral. He is then scheduled to meet with French President Emmanuel Macron. President-elect Trump is also expected to attend the ceremony.
If Trump and Zelensky meet on December 8, it will be the first meeting between politicians since Zelensky won the presidential election.

President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has already made it clear that he wants to see what the new US president has in mind for ending the war in Ukraine.
– I think we'll learn about Donald Trump's proposal in January. And we will develop a plan to end this war, the Ukrainian president said in November.
“We do not want Russian disinformation to influence people. Kiev only has its own plans and does not want to hear about proposals from partners from other continents,” he stressed. -This is not true, said Zelensky.

Notre Dame Cathedral fire. Grand opening after 5 years
The grand opening of Notre Dame Cathedral, scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, will be an international event. Leaders from 50 countries are scheduled to come to Paris. French President Emmanuel Macron will welcome guests from around the world and is scheduled to give a speech in the square in front of the cathedral.
Representatives from countries that provided financial support for the reconstruction were invited to the ceremony.
