A fishing boat overturned in the Baltic Sea. Two crew members were pulled out of the water by a lifeboat and are safe. A third fisherman, who was unconscious, was washed ashore by the water – the Maritime Search and Rescue Service (SAR) was notified. Services have started a rescue operation.
The incident happened on Saturday morning near Ustronie Morskie (Kolobrzeg county). A fishing boat overturned in the Baltic Sea. Two fishermen, who were swimming in the water, were picked up by the rescue ship “Skhval”.

– The third crew member, who was unconscious and not breathing, washed ashore – said Rafal Goek, spokesman for the Maritime Search and Rescue Service. He added that a resuscitation operation was carried out at the scene of the incident. The rescue helicopter transported the person to the hospital.
The rest of the injured were “safe and sound, but out cold,” Goeck said. – They were transferred to the port of Kolobrzeg, – he added.
