– This issue may be about some internal game – said Anna Maria Zhukovska, the head of the Left Club, in “Kropka nad i” on TVN24, referring to an unknown report about the past of PiS presidential candidate Karol Nawrocki. – I read that even PiS was afraid of this candidate – explained Joanna Kluzik-Rostkowska from the Civil Alliance.
On Sunday, the Onet portal published excerpts from an anonymous investigation into Nawroki's past, which show his links to the criminal and neo-Nazi circles. Journalists for the “State of Emergency” program wrote that Nawrocki, who trained in boxing in his youth, “still has a close relationship with his colleagues from the ring and the gate, although some of them are gangsters, guns and thugs.” They reported that information about this reached PiS officials, including Jaroslaw Kaczynski, when Nawrocki was one of the expected presidential candidates.

Anna Maria Zhukowska, head of the Left Club, and Joanna Kluzyk-Rostkowska of the Civil Alliance, a member of the investigative committee of the Pegasus Parliament, discussed this issue on TVN24.
According to Zhukowska, “it can be an internal and factional game.” – We know that in PiS itself there were at least a few candidates who wanted to participate in the elections and wanted to strengthen their position within the party, – he said.
– I read it as if even PiS was afraid of the chosen candidate of Jarosław Kaczynski, – explained Kluzyk-Rostkowska.
– When you are looking for a presidential candidate, you look at his strengths, but you also look at his weaknesses. And actually, with any candidate you can always say, “Well, this is definitely going to be a situation where he's going to be attacked.” But the election of a candidate who after a few days of the election gave him fifty pages (there are more than seventy pages of reports about this – ed.) is just an absolute world championship, – added the representative of the KO.
– This is the belief of Yaroslav Kaczynski, who believes that absolutely anyone can be the president. This is the impoverishment of the presidential institution, he continued.

Politicians also commented on bringing the former head of the Internal Security Agency Petr Pogonovskiy to the meeting of the parliamentary investigative committee on Pegasus. Previously, he did not appear at the meeting three times and, referring to the September ruling of the Constitutional Court, he declared the commission's activity unconstitutional.

– Before this, there were several invitations or invitations for Colonel Pogonovsky to appear without such assistance. He didn't listen. As I understand, today he calculated that it will happen anyway, so he was brought alone, – said Kluzyk-Rostkowska.
– The colonel did not remember any defensive strategy. He did not even remember when he himself was promoted to the rank of colonel. It is difficult for me to imagine a person who does not remember his promotion, explained Zhukovska.
– So, (this is the editor) advanced sclerosis, which is only a defense method against being accused of false indications. Pretending that you do not understand the name Pegasus and do not know what program it is about is just a mockery of the commission, said the representative of the left club.

“Ziobro must finally appear in the commission.”
Žukowska and Kluzyk-Rostkowska also commented on the fact that the application for consent to arrest and compulsion was submitted to the Pegasus Commission in the case of Zbigniew Ziobro. On Monday, the former justice minister, who has been battling illness, appeared at a news conference for the first time in a long time.
– Mr. Ziobro should finally appear before the committee because there is already a proposal for his inclusion. Of course, he still has the opportunity to do this voluntarily. I also prefer to avoid such necessity, but this is the decision of the former Minister of Justice. As I understand, if he can participate in the press conference and appear in the regulation committee, then this state of health is not at all another reason that prevents him (from appearing in the committee – ed.), – said Zhukovska. On Tuesday, the proposal on Ziobro's case should be discussed at the session of the Sejm committee on rules, affairs of deputies and immunities.
– In order to arrest Minister Ziob, his immunity must be lifted. It would be better if he thought that he could do it himself, without all the confusion. Today, he himself showed that he will return to politics, so the fact that he cannot appear at the commission because he is just sick disappears, Kluzyk-Rostkowska added.
