Pensions under the palm trees – possible thanks to special visa programs offered by some countries. One such place is Mauritius – an exotic island in the Indian Ocean, inviting older people over 50 to begin a new phase of their lives in a tropical paradise.
More and more seniors are open to spend their lives abroad. Most often, they are led by a desire to cut costs of living and a calm atmosphere. Therefore, many countries in various regions of the world offer special “retirement visas.”
This year’s “business technology” list has been replaced by eight countries that are willing to host pensioners. These are South Africa, Colombia, Portugal, Panama, Thailand, Spain, three islands, Cyprus, Mauritius and Costa Rica.

Mauritius seems to be a particularly attractive direction – an exotic island in the Pacific Ocean near Madagascar. Not only is its white, soft sand and turquoise sea, it is also famous for its beautiful volcanic landscapes and colorful sand dunes.
The island’s advantage is also a warm, tropical atmosphere that lasts throughout the year. The dry season (May-October) is perfect for active tourists, while the summer season (November-April) is a paradise for sunbathing people.

Mauritius’ special pension visas are available to people over the age of 50, regardless of nationality with at least $1,500 Americans (approximately PLN 5,817).

You will also need to open a bank account at your local bank. Local banks should be affected by at least 18,000 people. Annual dollars, or PLN, around 69,660.
This will allow for legal housing on the island for 10 years, as it could be extended after this period. Additionally, those who meet financial requirements can take their families to their partners and children, Mauritius.
