“The Russian government, together with the Russian FSB and the Ministry of Russia, will develop additional measures to block telephone connections made from Ukraine and other unfriendly foreign countries for criminal purposes. Russian citizens are opposes criminal conduct” – it was written in a document published on the Kremlin website.
The idea of creating security against telephone fraud was debated between the Council on Civil Society Development and Human Rights on December 10th last year. Vladimir Putin then approved the list of instructions. Prime Minister Mikhail Mizzuzstan, Alexander Boltenikou and Vladimir Koukolchu were appointed to carry out the task.
Russia. Putin wants to block connections from “hostile countries”
A system that blocks connections for “foreign fraudsters” is expected to be created by July this year. As Putin said, fast action raises the tor of money “to the class of national policy” in Ukraine. Russian telecommunications says that most connections made by criminals should come from the telephone center of Dnepropetrovsk.
Mikhail Osieevsky, the director of the company, argues that the matter should be treated “very responsible” because of “the real expert in their fieldwork.”
The Russian media cites the case of Russian artist Larisa Dorina, who became the victim of telephone scammers. Last spring, she was supposed to get a call from a suspect in a special service who persuaded her to sell a five-room apartment. The star lost about 200 million rubles.
Did the Russians lose 4 billion rubles by a con man?
Wadim Devices, director of the Information Security Bureau of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, claims that at the end of the first quarter last year, Russian citizens lost a total of 4 billion rubles in relation to fraud.
According to Russian media, fraud does not apply only to the financial sector. One of the eighth grade students was to throw a Molotov cocktail into the management building of one of the housing complexes in Moscow. They probably forced him to “call Ukraine.”
Not only does Russia recognize that it is a “unfriendly country” mentioned in the Kremlin papers, but also several European Union countries, including the US and Poland.
Previously, a ministry within Russia warned against new ways to steal accounts through telegrams. The perpetrator is to create hotspots of fake Wi-Fi networks and use them in public places to retrieve data from internet users.
