Civil Alliance MPs have proposed a bill that would require information on salary ranges to be included in every job advertisement – according to information available on the Sejm's website. The employer cannot also prevent the employee from disclosing his salary.
“The bill refers to the obligation of employers to provide the proposed salary in the published job, which they offer to candidates who apply for a certain position,” it is written.
Applicants say that the lack of such information particularly affects workers and young women.
According to this plan, the employer cannot prohibit or prevent the employee from disclosing his salary. Employees also have the right to submit to their employer “requests for individual wage rates and average wage rates by gender for categories of employees performing the same or equivalent work.”
Salary “forbidden topic”
– My intention is that the subject of remuneration will no longer be forbidden in Poland – said earlier in an interview with the commercial editorial team of tvn24.pl, a representative of the Civil Alliance, a representative of the applicants, Witold Zembachinski.
– The idea is that, over time, a salary network will be established in Poland through the commitment of the amount of salary in job advertisements, which will allow young people to choose which career path to choose, – he adds.

Revenue transparency and EU requirements
In an interview with tvn24.pl, Zembachinski said that for the third time he is proposing a project on income transparency in job advertisements. – In the first term, when I presented this project, the first reading took place and (the project – ed.) was put in the refrigerator, it was under (Seim Marshal Marek – ed.) Kuczynski. Then, in the ninth session of the Sejm, that is, in the previous session, I again presented the draft law to the marshal committee, and it was not even passed the first reading, which is a total scandal, contrary to the work rules of the Sejm. , he said.
Now – as he notes – we have created a new situation, because the introduction of such provisions requires EU rules. – Therefore, this will be the final horizon (year 2026) when this decision should enter into force, but I expect that a shorter holiday law will be introduced here, – says the representative.
According to the draft, the regulation should enter into force within 6 months from the date of publication in the Journal of Laws.
