The state sanitary inspector of Gdynia district announced that E. coli bacteria were detected in the tested water samples. The Sanitary and Epidemiological Station made a decision on the conditionality of consumption for the Gdynia Środmieście region, the Gdynia city government reported on Friday.
“Water after boiling is suitable for consumption, but unheated water can only be used for sanitary and cleaning purposes. According to the Sanitary and Epidemiological Station, an important element that allowed the water to be conditionally allowed for use is the absence of substances was pathogenic. PEWIK intervention in relation to water pollution
The Water and Sewerage Company (PEWIK) started flushing the sections of the water supply network in the Gdynia Śródmieście area after receiving the confirmation of the deterioration of water quality, and monitored the preventive disinfection of the water supplied to the area and ensured the concentration of free chlorine. in the water
