WAUKESHA, Wis. — An Oconomowoc man once tried to give hope to others. Now prosecutors say he turned children's lives into a nightmare.
Prosecutors have charged Daniel Haight with 23 felony counts, including second-degree sexual assault of a child, possession of child pornography and sexual exploitation of a child. Investigators say Haight, 63, used hidden cameras to film the boys at homes he owns in New Berlin and Delafield.
Police said they found 10 videos of naked boys on Height's iPad, including some from when the boys were 15 years old. Another victim told police that Height sexually assaulted her “approximately 50 to 100 times,” beginning at the age of 9.

Haidt's LinkedIn page lists his occupation as a “certified health and lifestyle coach” and says he aspires to be “a ray of light to those who feel like they can't do anything.”
A court commissioner on Monday set Hite's bail at $250,000. He is due to appear again in court Wednesday to request the appointment of a public defender.
“I can't spend a penny at all. My wife keeps everything under lock and key and won't allow me to contact her,” Heidt said.
Hite will be appointed a public defender and is scheduled to return to court next week for a new hearing.
