Police officers of Shvidnik arrested a 53-year-old man from Piaski commune, who sat behind the wheel with more than two permilli of alcohol. Officers noticed that one of the vehicles was driving with a hose and tried to stop it for an investigation. Then the driver ran away. He made his escape on top of a tree by the side of the road.
The police – as we reported in an entry on the Swidnica officers' website on social networks – observed an Audi car that was not driving in the right direction. The man sitting behind the wheel – as noted – did not respond to the signs and signals of the officers in military uniform to stop and ran away.

Up to three years in prison and the possibility of losing your car
The 53-year-old man could face up to three years in prison for drunk driving. Valid from March 14 of this year. Mod. 44b of the Criminal Code introduced an additional form of confiscation, including the confiscation of a vehicle.

Confiscation is ordered by the court if the criminal: – caused an accident, a direct risk of it or an accident and the concentration of alcohol in the blood exceeds 1 ppm;

– during the driving ban period or in the case that the criminal was previously convicted of driving a vehicle while intoxicated or under the influence of drugs, driving while intoxicated (blood alcohol concentration above 0.5 ppm) be drug addiction or for driving offenses committed while intoxicated.
