The accident occurred just after 4pm on Wednesday. Brigadier General was the first to arrive on the scene. Andrzej Podlak, acting commander of the West Pomeranian Cantonal Fire Department, immediately began rescuing the injured. Shortly thereafter, firefighters from higher divisions joined the action. The collision caused the ambulance to overturn and fall into a ditch, and both vehicles were seriously damaged. The driver of the car and a passenger in the ambulance were injured. The injured were taken to a hospital in Szczecin.
The accident led to the complete closure of Provincial Highway 142 for several hours. Police are currently investigating the cause and progress of the incident. The accident was initially determined to have occurred at the 16 kilometer mark on the road.
