Fitness startup Stepathlon Lifestyle has partnered with Major League Rugby (MLR) to promote fitness and health for rugby players and fans throughout the off-season and into 2025.
Through this collaboration, MLR aims to foster a culture of fitness and community, encouraging fans across the U.S. to engage with their favorite teams and athletes across the league during the off-season, an initiative that not only promotes physical fitness but also fosters camaraderie among fans and a stronger connection to the sport.
“We're thrilled to partner with Stephathlon to promote health and wellness within the rugby community,” said MLR CEO Nick Benson. “Staying healthy and active is vital for players and we're thrilled to work with Stephathlon to inspire our fans to live a healthier lifestyle.”
MLR’s partnership with Stepathlon represents a new era of collaboration between sports marketing and wellness companies, aiming to positively impact the health and wellbeing of athletes and fans.
“Having watched MLR games this season, we've been moved by the passion of our fans, and we want to make sure that passion continues to grow in the off-season,” said Ravi Krishnan, founder and CEO of Stepathlon. “We also know that healthier fans are happier fans, so we wanted to give something back to the fans who passionately support their teams all season long. At Stepathlon, our goal is to help fans stay connected to their favorite teams, players, and each other, with or without games.”
Stepathlon raised an undisclosed amount in 2020 from nine investors across India, Australia, the US, the UK and Canada, including Josh Liberman, who runs one of Australia's most respected family offices, and Mark Adams, senior vice president of IMG Golf Asia.
