On New Year’s Eve, a bottle was thrown at the firefighters who were going to intervene in Szczecin. The glass of the car door was broken and the glass fell on the firefighters, but no one was injured. The police were called to the scene.
According to Captain Bartosz Janicki, the press spokesman of the Municipal Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Szczecin, firefighters from the rescue and fire department number 1 of this city were sent to the stairs on Legnicka Street.
– When they were driving on the street of Krišivustego, about 10 minutes after midnight, a glass was thrown at them, which broke the window of the right door of the fire engine. The glass fell on the firefighters who rushed to the scene. Fortunately, no one was injured, he added.

Firefighters called police to the scene and another unit was dispatched to a report on Legnica Street, although it turned out to be a false alarm, Capt. Janicki reported.

Only from midnight to 6:30 in the morning, firefighters responded to about 1,200 fires all over Poland. This is almost twice as much as a year ago.
