The police of the city of Shchytno (Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship) are looking for the criminal who brutally beat the priest. A 72-year-old priest was attacked in the rectory building, and the housekeeper reported the attack to the service. The condition of the priest is serious.
The incident happened after that 19 in Shchitno rectory. A witness of the incident – a householder reported the attack to the police.
– The 72-year-old priest was severely beaten and was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. He is receiving medical assistance, his condition is serious, said Emilia Pławska, press officer of Szytno police.

The spokesman said that after the clerics were taken to the hospital, police officers arrived at the scene to secure evidence. Efforts to arrest the perpetrator of the attack on the priest are also ongoing.
Plavska said that due to ongoing activities, police are not releasing details at this time. It is too early to reveal the motives of the criminal.
This was first reported by the publication “Tygodnik Shchytno”. The newspaper writes that the landlord allegedly used pepper spray against the perpetrator of the attack, which the police have not yet confirmed.
