Global technology company Comtech recently relocated its headquarters from New York to Chandler, a move celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by government and Comtech executives.
Comtec's technology and services serve both government and commercial customers, and the company said its Chandler location will enable it to offer new services, including new connectivity services.
Gov. Katie Hobbs said ComTech fits into the state's “technology ecosystem.”
“The future is truly happening right here in Arizona, and the engineering and manufacturing space will further strengthen our already strong operations in the state and accelerate the adoption of new technologies. Today is a natural next step in our partnership,” she said.
Hobbs said working with Comtech has allowed for the development of the state's 911 system and provided an opportunity for paramedics to provide better emergency services.
Chandler Mayor Kevin Hartke praised the company's presence in the city.
“This region is home to many of the best and brightest minds that make up Arizona's tech-savvy and dedicated workforce, and we are honored to have Comtech join this impressive list of cutting-edge companies based in Chandler,” he said.
Hartke also said the jobs created from Comtec's new headquarters will help keep communities safe and usher in a new era of reliable connectivity.
