– I observed with disgust that I recognized such a loyal surrender and true recognition of myself as a US colony by the politicians of law and justice, – said deputy Anna Maria Zhukowska (Left Wing) in “Kropka nad i”. He explained the reactions of the Polish political scene to the results of the elections in the United States. Deputy Speaker of the Sejm Piotr Zgorzelski (PSL, Trzesia Droga) called the behavior of PiS and Confederation politicians “spectacular”.
Although only partial results of the US election are still known, both incumbent President Joe Biden and his opponent Kamala Harris have recognized the victory of Donald Trump.
The results of the elections were explained in the newspaper “Kropka nad i” by Piotr Zgorzelsky (PSL, Trzecia Droga) and deputy Anna Maria Zhukovska (Nova Levica, left club). In particular, they pointed to how Law and Justice and Confederate politicians reacted to Donald Trump's victory.

– I must say that I have observed such a loyal surrender and in fact recognition of us as a colony of the USA by the politicians of Law and Justice, who sounded a great achievement as if it were their own victory, courtesy of Donald Trump. and started at our plenum meetings, – said Zhukovska. As he assessed, “this seems to question the sovereignty that Law and Justice talks about so often and with pleasure.”
The left-wing MP also assessed that Trump's victory “will affect not only Polish politics.” – This affects the politics of the whole of Europe, the European Union. We just have to give up the “good uncle from America” look, deepen European integration and just make sure that we will fight independently here in the European Union, no matter what happens, he said.

Asked whether the fact that Donald Trump is back in the White House will help law and justice in the Polish presidential election, Žukowska replied that PiS politicians “think that he will be their patron.” In his opinion, PiS believes that if it replaces the election materials of its future candidate with “the image of Donald Trump”, it will win the elections in Poland.
Zgorzelsky: It's really embarrassing
– I agree with the president that this spectacle initiated by the deputy (Yaroslav) Sachajko, who appeared as part of an official gesture, waved his hand, and Jarosław Kaczynski and his whole team stood up and applauded Donald Trump (…), really it was embarrassing – said Zgorzelsky.
In his opinion, “today it can be said that they behave as a comprador opposition that respects and worships the leaders of other countries more than their own.”

The PSL representative also said that he “wants to assure everyone that Donald Trump has now become the president of Poland after winning the elections in the United States.” – For the United States, the most important thing that has ever existed is the interests of this country, and the president will implement these interests, – he noted.

What about the abortion bill? “I think it will be fine”
TVN24 guests were also asked about the bill on changes to the Criminal Code and the illegalization of abortion. The vote on it will be held on Friday in the Sejm.
Zgorzelsky announced that the members of the People's Party will vote “according to their conscience”. When asked what that meant, he replied, “We'll find out in 20 hours.” When asked how his conscience makes up his mind, he replied, “I'm still working on it.”
Žukowska noted that “proposals to reject (the bill) have been submitted in the first reading and should be voted on.” “But I believe that these applications will be rejected,” he said. He also expressed hope that there will be a majority among the members of the parliament to send this project to the committee of the parliament. – We finished the coalition negotiations and I think it will be good, – he added.
After these words, Zgorzelsky admitted that he “shares the hope and belief of Zhukovska” that the project will go to the committee.
