The leader of the party, Deputy Speaker of the Seimas, Krzysztof Bosak, announced on Thursday that the request for dismissal of Grzegorz Braun from the group will be submitted to the party court. This happened after Brown announced his candidacy for the presidency. The official candidate of the Confederation is MP Slawomir Mentzen.

Brown announces his participation in the presidential election
Mentzen said Thursday that the news of Brown’s run for president was received “by surprise” in the group, which he said would mean Brown’s departure from the Confederacy.
– The point is that we are breaking up. From now on, we will act separately from the political point of view, said Mentzen. He assured that the Confederation would “move forward” and maintain unity, while being “an alternative to the current system”.
