COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Hopefully you made good use of this little bit of “relief” as temperatures rise again in late August and we’ll have hot, dry days ahead for the next few days.
Friday Night: Relatively calm and quiet for the weekend. Mild overnight lows dropping into the mid 60s. A few rolling clouds possible overnight.
Weekend: Temperatures will start to warm up over the weekend. Highs will be in the mid 90s F, with a bit of warmth expected on Sunday. Aside from the heat, the weather will be generally nice, with plenty of sunshine and moving clouds. Temperatures will be cooler, dropping into the upper 60s to low 70s F.
Next Week: As we enter the final week of August and move into the “-ber” month, temperatures will get hotter and hotter. Highs will likely reach the mid to triple digits. The heat index will rise again, and it will once again feel like 105 to 110 degrees Fahrenheit outdoors. Perfect for the start of football season, right? Or not?
