On January 1, one person was killed and seven were injured when a Tesla Cybertruck exploded outside the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas. The Associated Press released video footage of a large explosion inside the car and smaller explosions caused by fireworks. Las Vegas police and the Clark County Fire Department have confirmed that the driver of a truck that pulled up to a hotel chain owned by Donald Trump has been killed. The identity of the driver has not yet been released. Officers released the latest video showing what was inside the vehicle. Among other things, cans of fuel and a large number of fireworks. The service claims that they could have connected to the explosive system, which the driver could have stopped in front of the hotel in a few seconds. Previously, the CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk, commented on the sources of the explosion. He wrote on X’s website that “the explosion was caused by a very large explosion and/or a bomb that was carried in the trunk of a Cybertruck.”
