There is news that Karol Navroki has committed a crime, and this is not the best news for a candidate in the presidential election campaign. Nawrotsky himself, anointed by PiS, had to explain himself again on Saturday, because the management of the World War II Museum decided to recall some facts.
The PiS presidential candidate must face an investigation of his case by the prosecutor’s office in the last months before the election. The notice was filed by the Civil Alliance group to prosecute PiS.
– We are dealing with a situation where there is a kind of opportunity for our team to be cleared of these charges for the PiS candidate, Mr. Nawrocki, – says Roman Giertich, lawyer, representative of the Civil Alliance.
– The documents do not show this, they present it wrongly, that’s why I leave this case to the prosecutor’s office, – answered Karol Nawrocki.

It is about an apartment in the World War II Museum, where Karol Nawrocki was said to be a tenant as director. On Wednesday, the PiS candidate argued that “these were houses, not houses.” – The apartments are for the former leadership, who were supposed to live there, – he emphasized.
Meanwhile, the museum writes that Nawroki’s words are not true, and neither the previous director nor any of his deputies spent even a single day in these rooms.

The museum responds to Nawrocki
Moreover, Karol Nawrocki credits himself with the commercial idea of these rooms into apartments. – I want to emphasize that I made this progress in order to make money through these rooms – he said on Wednesday.
According to the management of the museum, the rooms were already planned for rent at the stage of building design. The statement also includes a response to Karol Nawrocki’s remarks about reservations during the pandemic. The museum notes that the rooms were shut down for 36 days, adding that the director at the time closed the residence for a total of 200 days and about 180 days during the pandemic.
– We will present all the documents we have, which are necessary for a possible investigation, – says prof. Rafal Vnuk, acting director of the World War II Museum in Gdańsk.

Nawrocki: they were also used for business meetings
The museum administrators were also surprised by Karol Nawrocki’s explanation: “These apartments, these rooms were sometimes used only for business meetings.”

For business meetings and reception of museum guests, the director had a spacious office and a conference room at his disposal. “There is no need to hold such meetings in guest houses,” emphasizes Aleksandra Travinska from the World War II Museum in Gdańsk.
Karol Navrotsky was also supposed to occupy this apartment during his 16-day vacation, that is, when he was not working. The PiS presidential candidate has consistently denied all accusations and claims that the World War II museum in Gdańsk “lied”.
