Obligation of periodic medical examination of all owners of firearms, including hunters, is included in the draft law submitted to the Sejm by Polska 2050 – Trzesia Droga. According to it, hunters are examined once every five years until the age of seventy, and once every two years after the age of seventy. Who is in favor, who is against?
Hunters are the only group that can use firearms in public without the obligation to undergo periodic medical and psychological examinations.

Poland 2050 proposed a draft law, which provides for mandatory periodical medical examinations for people over seventy years old every two years and for people under seventy years old once every five years.

Today, there are more than 380,000 guns in the hands of hunters.
– I am a member of the minister's team on hunting reform, and the hunters have made their opinion clear there: a complete veto on any research, – says Dr. Robert Maslak from the University of Wrocław, member of the hunt in the Ministry of Climate and Environment.
The average age of members of the Hunting Association is over 50, which means that many hunters have not passed the medical examination that would give them the right to a gun for at least a dozen or even decades.
