A 38-year-old man from Podkarpackie, who is suspected of making a criminal threat against the leader of the Great Christmas Charity Orchestra Jurek Owsiak, was arrested by the police and charged with a crime. On Tuesday, he was taken into custody by court order.

Arrest, charge and detention
As Kom Piotr Wojtunik, press officer of the Podkarpackie Police, told us on Tuesday, on Monday the officers arrested the man who was supposed to be behind the scandalous entries.
– The police officers of the Central Cybercrime Bureau identified and reported this to Krosno staff. This arrested 38-year-old man, a resident of Krosno district, is charged with two charges: criminal threat and public invitation to commit a crime, our spokesman said.
On Tuesday, the Krosno district court temporarily arrested the 38-year-old man for one month.
The resident of Podkarpachye confessed to the crimes he was accused of and gave an explanation. We do not yet know what their contents were.

Threats against Jurek Owsiak
These are yet another threat sent to Jurek Owsiak ahead of the 33rd final of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, announced by the head of the foundation on social media. He explained one of the calls to the number of the Press Office of the Foundation last Tuesday. The caller first asked if he had reached Owsyak’s office, then said, “You should shoot him, then f*** him.” The next day, the police arrested the suspect for making these threats, and then he confessed to his actions at the prosecutor’s office.
On Monday, Owsiak described further threats, this time in social media posts. “Hey, Telewizja Republika, do you feel what you’re doing? Are you surprised?” – he added. We remind that, as reported by the prosecutor’s office, the first arrested suspects explained that this action was motivated by “reading one of the reports in Telewizja Republika, in which Jerzy Owsiak was presented in a bad light”.

In the last two years, the Fund has also held collections for adults: in 2023 for the fight against sepsis and in 2024 – for the treatment of lung diseases.
The main theme of the 33rd Grand Christmas Charity Orchestra finale is children’s safety and health, with the motto: “We play for health!”. The money raised will be allocated to the needs of pediatric hematology and oncology.
