Trump's peace proposal
Forbes' Ukrainian interlocutors said that Trump's alleged peace offer was “simple” and that Russia and North Korea could be sending troops and equipment to the Kursk region to create the conditions for a peace that may never materialize.
– Our 41st brigade has been fighting in this sector since the beginning, and one of the most important areas for us is the city of Suja, – said Kiril Sazonav, political scientist and soldier of the armed forces of Ukraine, according to the UNIAN agency. . According to him, out of 55,000 people sent in this direction, about 20,000 Russian soldiers have already been killed in the border region. According to Sazonav, “in this context”, three or five thousand North Korean soldiers are “a small number”.
This military official said that “at the moment, the Kursk region is a problem and his biggest failure in the eyes of Putin.” As Sazonav explained, Putin wants to show Trump that “the special military operation (information about the propaganda of the armed attack – editor) is going according to plan, that he will win in Ukraine and that the war can be concluded on Russia's terms.” – But Trump just laughs at this, said Sazonav.
