The commander-in-chief of their army, Oleksandr Sirsky, said on Saturday that the armed forces of Ukraine have repelled one of the most powerful attacks by Russia since the beginning of the armed offensive. According to the DeepState project of Ukraine, which monitors the situation on the front, from the beginning of August this year to November 1, Russian forces occupied 1146 square kilometers of Ukrainian territory.
Sirsky said in a Telegram message on Saturday that he had met with representatives of the Czech army that day, including Chief of the General Staff Karel Rzehka.
“I informed my Czech colleagues about the situation on the front line, which remains difficult,” Syrsky wrote, adding: “Ukraine's armed forces are currently holding back one of the most powerful Russian offensives before the launch of an armed offensive in 2022.”
Sirsky did not elaborate or say where the heaviest fighting would take place. The report of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Army on Saturday shows that the most difficult situation remains in the Donetsk region.
The hottest areas of the front are the Pokrovsky and Limansk areas, where Ukrainian forces repel regular enemy attacks.

1146 square kilometers in the hands of the enemy
According to the DeepState project of Ukraine, which monitors the situation on the front, from the beginning of August this year to November 1, Russian forces occupied 1146 square kilometers of Ukrainian territory.
