Kiev’s General Prosecutor’s Office announced on Tuesday that smuggling of valuables was intercepted on a regular Warsaw-Kyiv bus in Ustylu, on the Ukrainian side of the border with Poland.

As the Ukrainian service said in a statement: “Hidden watches, pendants, bracelets and watch parts of various famous brands worth more than 10 million hrivres (approximately 980,000 zlotys) were discovered among the driver’s personal belongings. and confiscated.”
“During further search operations at the residence and shops of the suspects, law enforcement authorities also seized 46 Swiss watches of various brands with an initial value of approximately 25 million Furigana (approximately 2.44 million zlotys).” is stated in the release.
Ukrainian authorities are now taking steps to identify and hold accountable all members of the smuggling group, prosecutors asserted.
