Elon Musk’s Tesla Cybertruck explodes in front of the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas. One person was killed and at least seven others injured.
Footage taken inside the hotel was posted online, showing the Cybertruck on fire. The moment of the explosion was also recorded. An evacuation was ordered at the scene.
One of the people working on the case told ABC News that there was an explosive device inside the car and that the explosion resembled a firecracker explosion. The after-hours police meeting was held at 9:00 local time.

Police, while talking to the media, announced that the driver of the car died on the spot. It was also revealed that at least seven people were injured. The cause of the explosion has not yet been determined.
Investigators’ task is to find out whether the driver intended to set off the explosion and, if so, what his motives were for his actions. – Police are treating the explosion as a possible criminal and terrorist act until a motive is established and other possibilities are ruled out. It was reported that evidence collection and investigation were ongoing.

Donald Trump was in Washington at the time of the incident. But his son, Eric Trump, spoke out on the matter. He thanked the Las Vegas Fire Department and local police for their quick response.
“This morning an electric vehicle caught fire outside our hotel. The safety and well-being of our guests and staff remains our top priority,” he wrote.
