According to the data of the Central Bureau of Statistics as of April 2024 (published on October 2, 2024), the sector “Financial activity and insurance” had the highest average monthly salary, amounting to PLN 14,381.42.
During the same period, the average salary in this sector was PLN 9,843.42, ranking third after the Information and Communications and Mining and Mining sectors.
However, the results of the survey among bank employees indicate a slightly different picture of wages. 65.6 percent of the respondents in May 2024 declared an income equal to or less than the average salary in the enterprise sector, which totaled PLN 7,999.69.
