On Wednesday morning local time, a Tesla car exploded in front of the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas. Local authorities reported that one person was killed and at least seven people were injured.
Las Vegas Sheriff Kevin McCahill said at a press conference that a vehicle fire was reported at the hotel just after 8:40 a.m., and crews who arrived at the scene found a 2024 Cybertruck. it was destroyed by fire.
He reported that one person was killed and at least seven people were injured in this incident. The FBI was also involved in the investigation.
Footage obtained by Reuters shows, among other things, a large cloud of smoke in front of the building.
Eric Trump, the son of the president-elect, also reported on the X platform.
“The safety and well-being of our guests and staff remains our top priority. We extend our sincere thanks to the Las Vegas Fire Department and local law enforcement for their quick and professional response,” he said.
