According to canon law, specifically Canon Law 1443, the Roman Court of Rota is an ordinary appellate court established by the Pope.
This body is responsible for considering appeals from diocesan court decisions, making it the highest appellate court within the Catholic Church’s structure.
The auditors sitting on Rota address important issues in the area of canon law and church life, broadly understood. Therefore, Fr. Mr. Kubicek will have significant influence on the interpretation and application of the law in the most important appellate cases.
Father Tomasz Kubitschek holds a prestigious position in the Vatican.
Father Tomasz Kubitschek is from the Diocese of St. Petersburg. Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel in Dąbrova Grnicza Strzemieśice Małe. He was ordained a priest in 2003. After completing his studies in theology and law, he earned a doctorate in canon law from the prestigious Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome.
Since 2019, the priest has been acting as a promoter of justice at the Roman Rota Tribunal. The latest appointment is recognized as a sign of recognition of the priest’s abilities and dedication in the church environment.
