“More than 140 wolves are killed in Poland every year”
“Is it a lack of scandalous competence and a simple mistake, or maybe a deliberate misdirection and cover-up? More than 140 wolves are killed in Poland every year, and since the end of the 1990s, when the wolf was under strict species protection, only being a criminal seven people were proven. It is interesting that six of these seven were active hunters who were not officially hunting convicted persons at the time of committing the crime, but they were hunting in Poland Association that gave them a certificate, based on which they could to own weapons, so PZŁ is responsible for its members,” explains Radosław Ślusarczyk of the All Beings Workshop.
The association announces that it will submit an application for the inclusion of the injured party – the female wolf, among the subjects exercising the affected rights.
Ślusarczyk reminds that wolves play an important role in the ecosystem, for example, they hunt wild pigs, destroy weaker and sick ones.

– For years, together with the scientific community, we have been demanding tougher penalties for killing protected species. Currently, most of the cases have been closed. Therefore, this time, as an association, we join the case of the she-wolf killed near Volimierz – concludes Slusarczyk.
