President Donald Trump has called for an “immediate ceasefire and the beginning of negotiations” regarding the Ukraine conflict. The president-elect said he hoped Volodymyr Zelensky would strike a deal and “stop the madness.” Although he did not specify specific conditions, he pointed out Russia's current weaknesses.
“Assad is no more. He fled the country. His protector, Russia, led by Vladimir Putin, was no longer interested in protecting him. Russia had no reason to be there in the first place.” Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social.
