The Russian military has decided to remove 28 T-55 tanks from the Mosfilm film studio. Russia urgently needs Soviet-era equipment to continue offensive operations on the Ukrainian front, military experts say.
According to information from Russian media, the Mosfilm production company had to release 28 operational T-55 tanks from storage. This machine was used in the production of historical films about the activities of the Soviet military after the war.
Valery Ryavich, head of the Defense Express analysis team, said the decision by Russian military commanders clearly shows how badly the military is lacking in equipment.

– Just by looking at Mosfilm's reserves, you can see that there is less and less equipment available for immediate use (military edition). He explained that it is noteworthy that Mosfilm's equipment is functional because it was used in the film.
War in Ukraine. Russian army lacks attack equipment
Valery Ryavich continued his remarks on Espresso TV, referring to recent events. Experts noted that the Russian military is currently conducting offensive operations in several directions. A large amount of heavy equipment was used in the attack, which was effectively destroyed by Ukrainian forces.
Analysts at Defense Express say it is almost certain that the equipment acquired from Mosfilm will be relocated within the next few weeks.
– After minor maintenance work, it could be used for the intended purpose for which it was developed in the USSR. Ryavich emphasized that it is clear that Russia's operations regarding the state of its equipment are becoming increasingly limited.

The T-55 tank is a Soviet design developed at the Nizhny Tagil Design Bureau in the 1950s. The basic version of this equipment was adopted by the Soviet army in 1958. At the time of its construction, it was one of the most modern buildings of its type. Over the years, tanks have been delivered to subsequent militaries, including a total of 38 countries.
The T-55 was also manufactured by Zakłady Mechaniczne Bumar-Łabędy in Poland. The first units rolled off the assembly line in 1964. A total of 5,000 tanks of the wide T-55 family were built in Poland.
