Sipar helps Anna, who built a 1,800-meter tunnel for the underground railway, and sister Christina – 1,200 meters. A tower will be built in front of the technical station and station, from which the movement of trains can be controlled.
As the representative of Warsaw Metropolitan Anna Barton assured, the failure of December in the construction of the Hrzanov station was quickly resolved and did not cause delays. He assured that “the underground mission will be continuously carried out by TBM shields Anna and Kristina, which are drilling tunnels to the new Lazurova station”.
1800 and 1200 meter tunnels were dug
On her way from Karolina to Lazurova, Shield Anna has already covered more than half of the route, leaving more than 1,100 so-called. pipes, i.e. the rings that make up the casing of the tunnel. Now the shield is already located about 700 meters behind the Chrzanov station under construction, and a total of about 1800 meters of tunnel has been drilled. He is held by his second target, Christina, who has completed more than 750 runs, covering a total distance of 1,200 metres.

At Chrzanov station itself, concrete walls of the station exit and columns were found underground. You can also see the stair structure leading from the mezzanine to the outside of the station.

“At Lazurova station, the construction of the diaphragm walls and bottom slab has been completed. Meanwhile, the construction pillars of the new station are being built underground,” explained Barton.
Progress is also being seen at the Caroline station. Most of the construction of the station has been completed. Work continues on the part that is located under Polczynska Street and on the roundabout.

“The construction of STP Karolin is well advanced, where the service metro trains and administrative buildings will be located. The reconstruction of the opposite part of the high-voltage line has been completed, thanks to which it will be possible to build further facilities,” noted the representative of the Warsaw Metro. .

In some buildings, the walls have been painted, and in other buildings, carpentry work is in progress. In the depot of the future locomotives, service channels will be built, over which trains will move, so that workers can inspect them. The structure of the signal box, i.e. the tower from which the movement of trains is controlled at STP, is also already visible.

As described by Metro Varshavskie, from the upper levels you can see the construction site, including the tunnel through which trains enter the M2 line from the service station. So far, 30 percent of the rails and 12 percent of the rails have been installed in the technical section.
Four kilometers of underground railway
The length of the section under construction is about four kilometers. Three passenger stations (Carolin, Khrzanov, Lazurova), STP Karolin and two route fan rooms will be built here. As Barton assured, the new episode will be ready in 2026.

Metro Warszawa has announced that it will receive more than PLN 1 billion from the European Union to complete the construction of the second railway line. “The total cost of the project, which includes the construction of the last section of the M2 line and the purchase of vehicles, is more than PLN 3 billion,” the report said.
