Warsaw police headquarters have launched an “indecent case investigation” of the former minister, police said Friday evening, adding that information about the politician's “dangerous driving” in central Warsaw had appeared in the media.
“Information about several violations of one of the former ministers appeared in the media. It is said that dangerous driving took place yesterday morning in the center of Warsaw. Due to the above, the employees of the Road Traffic Department of the Capital Police Headquarters have already started the investigation of the criminal case” – police the capital announced on Friday evening.
The police did not say who the politician was.
On Thursday morning, the journalists of “Fakt” recorded and described the journey of Antoni Macerevich. They assessed that “this should result in the loss of your driver's license”. That morning, journalists were following him from the headquarters of Radio Vnet in the old city. As they wrote, the politician allegedly violated the first traffic law “while leaving the parking lot”. The car was moving and he “held the phone to his ear”. Such conversation while driving can result in a 500 PLN fine and 12 penalty points, we read.
Later, Macerevich, as “Fact” shows in the photo, overtook another car at the pedestrian crossing (1500 PLN fine and 15 penalty points). Finally – a little later – he had to cross the double solid line and enter the bus lane, for which, according to the newspaper, he could have received a fine of PLN 200 and 5 penalty points.
The police can take away your driver's license after passing 24 penalty points, and Macerevich, according to the conclusion of “Fact”, collected up to 32 points.
