Source: Artur Węgrzynowicz/tvnwarszawa.pl On February 3, 2025, the paid parking area in Warsaw will be expanded to include a significant part of Mokotów. According to district municipal authorities, residents can now apply for a district or regional subscription.
According to the resolution of the Warsaw Council, which was adopted at the end of August, SPPN will be included in Stare Mokotow, Vigledow, Wierzbno, Ksaverow, Sielce and a part of Sadiba districts. This will happen on February 3, 2025.
– The city is practically ready to solve it – assures the mayor of Mokotov Rafal Miastovsky, quoted in the press release. – The organization of traffic will change, modern parking meters will be installed, and residents can apply for a subscription to ZGN, which will allow them to take cars in their neighborhood, – he emphasizes.
“Mokotov is not made of rubber”
Currently, the SPPN in Mokotov ends at Kukulskiego, Rozhana and Gagarina streets, and in less than a month it will be extended in additional areas of Dolny and Gorny Mokotov. A large part of the street will be its border from the west side. Żwirki i Wigury, from the east ul. Cherniakovska and a part of Povsinska and from the south – the line of Voronitsa, Voloska, Domanevska and Idzikovskiego streets.
The deputy of Mokotov district Marcin Stepien (KO) emphasizes that the extension of SPPN limits the entry of vehicles into the district. – We like our guests very much, but it should be remembered that Mokotov is not made of rubber. Therefore, we encourage visitors to travel around the district by public transport. The new SPPN coverage area is currently an attractive and free shipping area. As a result, residents returning after work often have no parking space. Cars stop in front of their houses, people who come here from other areas of the city and change to the metro or tram to reach their office, – the consultant points out.
You can collect subscriptions
The Mokotov City Hall informs that residents of the areas covered by the SPPN extension can apply to the Department of Real Estate Management for their subscription. They can choose from two options: a district subscription, which costs PLN 30 per year and allows you to park your car within a radius of 200 meters from your place of residence, or a regional subscription for PLN 600 per year. This, in turn, “allows you to park your car in a large area, significantly larger than the regional subscription.
