On Tuesday, at the Children's Health Center in Międzyłcie in Warsaw, after six months of renovation, the airfield was opened for air ambulance helicopters.
As we read in the announcement of the facility, the modernization work has been ongoing since May and ended with the reception of representatives of the Air Ambulance Service.
The six-month works included: a complete replacement of the surface of the airfield with full graphic marking of the FATO area (approach and final take-off area), replacement of electrical equipment with new lighting and installation of a protective wall.
The Orlen Foundation supported the repair costs, donating PLN 600,000. PLN subsidy.

Several hospitals use a helipad
Children's Health Center emphasizes that a modern helipad is very important for the entire emergency care system of the capital. There are only two such playgrounds in the city, on the territory of children's hospitals.
In addition, three other hospitals also use the helicopter in the CZD: the National Institute of Cardiology. Stefan Cardinal Wyszynski, Międzyleski Specialist Hospital and Independent Public Clinical Hospital. prof. CMKP Adam Gruka in Otvok.
