The TVN24 Wroclaw team, while broadcasting the New Year program, noticed that the driver of one of the cars was behaving suspiciously. – He behaved erratically and made strange decisions. He had a problem staying on the road, – says our reporter Pavel Popkovsky. While driving with the camera operator, the journalist called the police and drove for several minutes behind the car – as it turned out later – a completely drunk driver, until the marked car was stopped by an unknown patrol.
– We immediately noticed this car. The driver behaved erratically, made strange decisions and always drove with his glare on. In such a situation, there was no other choice – the reports had to wait, and together with the operator Daniel, we decided to do everything so that this driver did not hurt anyone, says Pawel Popkowski. The journalist called the emergency number and reported that the driver of the passenger bus may have been drunk.
– We had no doubt about it. At the traffic lights, I looked at the driver, he seemed unconscious and absent, – says the reporter of TVN24.
The police officer informed our reporter that he will send a patrol. But the problem was that the identified driver was moving dynamically throughout the city. – We decided to track this car and report its location to the officer on duty, – reports Pavel Popkovsky.

Unfortunately, once the drunk driver realized that someone was following him. – He wandered around residential areas. We didn’t record these maneuvers because Daniel was concentrating on driving and I tried to tell the police as precisely as possible where we were. We didn’t know when the patrol would show up, he notes.
When both cars were driving on Lotnica Street, an unknown police car appeared. Roof workers turned on the beacon and ordered the suspicious driver to stop. We learned from the police that the driver was a 48-year-old citizen of Ukraine. At the time of his arrest, he had more than two percent of alcohol.
