President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi said on social media that he had a phone conversation with Prime Minister Donald Tusk on Wednesday. The topic of the conversation was the further support of Kyiv. Zelensky revealed that he also spoke with Tusk about Ukraine's expectations for holding the presidency of the Council of the European Union at the beginning of next year.
“I spoke with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk. I thanked the Polish nation for its solidarity with Ukraine since the first days of the Russian all-out attack and the prime minister for his decisive personal response to the latest Russian shelling and efforts to end the political isolation of Russian dictator Putin,” he wrote. Zelensky on Telegram.

He added that he “discussed the continuation of military cooperation” with the Prime Minister. “The prime minister informed me that his country is ready to offer the 45th support package and has already started working on another such package,” the Ukrainian president emphasized.
Expectations related to Poland's presidency in the Council of the European Union
Zelensky revealed that he also spoke with Tusk about Ukraine's expectations for the presidency of the Council of the European Union at the beginning of next year.
“I hope for Poland's support in the process of negotiations with the European Union – in the opening of the first chapter of negotiations and the opening of other chapters at the same time,” said Zelensky.
“I also thanked Donald Tusk for using his extensive contacts to support the process of Ukraine's accession to NATO and the continuation of military assistance to Ukraine,” the Ukrainian president added.
The head of state of Ukraine also said that he has arranged a meeting with Tusk, which “will be held by the end of this year.”
