The Social Insurance Institution predicts the deficit of the Social Insurance Fund in 2025 at the level of 80.1 billion PLN in the intermediate option and in 2029 at the level of 115.3 billion PLN. ZUS notes the need to continue financing the Fund from the state budget.

Predictions
The latest forecast also shows that in the intermediate version, the annual deficit of the Social Insurance Fund in 2025 will be 2.2 percent of GDP. (with the amount of inflation discount for 2023 it will be PLN 80.1 billion) and in 2029 it will be 2.8 percent. GDP (inflation-discounted amount for 2023 is PLN 115.3 billion).
In the intermediate scenario, the number of people covered by pension and disability insurance will increase in 2025, but will decrease in the foreseeable future. The number of insured persons in 2029 is 236 thousand less than in 2025. (it decreased by 1.4 percent).
