From September 2 to September 8, Taipei City, the capital of Taiwan, will host the 2024 “TRENDY TAIPEI – Music X Innovation”, a pilot large-scale multinational festival consisting of 13 highlight events related to music and television entertainment, live music performances, digital marketing and technology industries. It will feature music performances by over 100 groups and over 50 forums and lectures, showcasing the city's cultural diversity and innovative spirit.
A key component of the festival, JAM JAM ASIA, will take place at the Taipei Music Center on September 7th and 8th. 50 musicians from all over Asia will perform to promote musical exchange in Asia and the internationalization of Taiwanese music. More than just a concert, the festival is a fusion of music and art, bringing together artists and fans from different backgrounds to enjoy the passion of music.
The lineup includes Korean ASMRZ, who will perform their star-producing masterpiece “Goodnight, My Lady,” and Japanese band Cody Lee and Billyrrom, who will perform music with an exotic atmosphere. In addition, famous artists such as Thailand's Polycat and Only Monday, Vietnam's rap queen Suboi, and Japan's SIRUP and Hakubi will also appear, showcasing the diversity and creativity of Asian music. In an Asia-only collaboration project, Taiwan's Thick Big Band will perform with Cody Lee, Taiwan's rising hip-hop star ddkogi88 and BSB, and Korean female vocalist DADA will perform together, highlighting the charm of cross-cultural musical exchange.
