At the beginning of the week, unusually high temperatures were measured in France. In Pau, at the foot of the Pyrenees, it was hotter than 26 degrees at night. Meteorologists explain that this is the result of the Foyen winds.
The previous week ended with unseasonably warm weather in south-west France. In the city of Pau, the capital of the Pyrenees-Atlantique department, the temperature exceeded 25 degrees, but at night it was even hotter.
On Monday at 4 o'clock in the morning, it was 26.3 degrees in Pau in Biarritz on the west coast of France, and 24 degrees in Tarbes in the Occitania region.

As mentioned, under the influence of Foen, the temperature reached such a high level. This is a hot and strong wind that blows from the mountains to the valleys. For this reason, it was 18 degrees in the morning of Dushanbe in Sudeten.
“High temperature even for summer”
However, French meteorologists point out that the recorded value is still “huge”. “This is a really high temperature even for summer, let alone at the end of November,” said Matthias Sorel, a climatologist at Meteo France, the national meteorological agency.
On November 27, 1970, as a result of this event, the temperature in this region was 26.2 degrees.
