August is National Health Month, with an emphasis on self-care, stress management, and healthy habits. As summer draws to a close and fall looms, August is the perfect time to reset and prioritize your health. Wellness is an active process of being conscious of and making choices toward a healthy, fulfilling life. It goes beyond freedom from illness and directly impacts how we live, work, and interact with others. Prioritizing your health improves your quality of life and has a positive ripple effect on your community.
Physical health includes maintaining a healthy body through regular exercise, a balanced diet, adequate sleep, and regular medical checkups. Doing an exercise you enjoy increases the likelihood of maintaining a consistent exercise habit. Whether it's yoga, running, swimming, or dancing, physical activity can help reduce stress, improve your mood, and boost your energy levels.
