The Atlanta Braves (61-56) will face the San Francisco Giants (61-59) in the first of a four-game series on Monday at 9:45pm ET at Oracle Park. Break down Braves vs. Giants odds from BetMGM Sportsbook and make your best betting predictions and forecasts from MLB experts.
Season series: Giants lead 2-1
The Braves lost two of three games at Colorado last weekend and are struggling, going 1-7 in their last eight games and 7-14 in their last 21 games. Their pitching has been awful, not counting the last series at Coors Field, but they gave up 34 runs in a three-game series at home against Milwaukee. Third baseman Austin Riley is batting .353 (18-for-51) with four home runs and 13 RBIs in his last 12 games.
The Giants are playing good baseball, winning four of five games and 12 of 16, but lost 5-4 to the Detroit Tigers on Sunday at home as a -176 favorite. Third baseman Matt Chapman is on a roll, batting .362 with five home runs and 15 RBIs in his last 15 games.

Braves vs Giants predictions and forecasts
prediction
Giants 4, Braves 3
Money Line
Snell missed one inning in his first start after a no-hitter against the Reds on Aug. 9. He gave up three runs in three innings in his last start, but bounced back by striking out five over his final three innings. He's pitching on a different level now, and I trust him more than Sale, who has allowed just two runs and a 3.06 ERA in each of his past three starts.
Bet on the Giants (-105) at home.
Against run line/spread
I would pass on the run line bet though…
I expect Blake Snell to strike out at least 7.5 times (-130). The Braves are the sixth-most strikeout-prone team in baseball at 9.15 strikeouts per game. Snell has struck out 8, 11 and 15 times in his last three starts.
Over/Under
The temperature is expected to be 60 degrees with wind gusts of 11 mph toward the center. According to Pregame.com, there were three five-figure bets on the Over between 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM, one of which was for $62,574. With the weather favoring the Over and the Sharps hot, the Takeover is 6.5 (-105).
