Mallory: Introducing the new movie. Jeron: Christopher Milwaukee Film and the movie podcast Cinebuds are here with What to W live. Lindsay: First of all, we've been talking about this all summer. Christopher: That's right. It's been a year since Barbie and Oppenheimer, the couple that was the talk of the theater and won award after award. Barbie is back. Last year, they starred together as a couple, and no one came to the theater. Barbie was a pink film masterpiece that became one of the best comedies of the last 20 years. And then there's Oppenheimer, which won the big Oscar. Both of these films are in theaters now, with one more week of anniversary screenings. If you're one of the 12 people who haven't seen this movie in the theater, now is your chance. Or if you just want to see it one more time, you have that chance. Jeron: I'm not. >> Both? Jeron: I saw Barbie. I fell asleep. (Laughs) Movies are tough in this shift. That's OK. There's also a new biographical drama that tells the story of Rob Peace. Christopher: Yes. I'm starring in and directing a new film about a young, talented guy who has great potential from a young age. His family is very firm in his belief that he will be successful and rise above his poor background, and he goes all the way to Yale, but his father is in prison and he's in danger. I'm starring in the film with my father and I'm also directing his second feature film. It's a good start for him to team up with a respected British actor and director. You'll see more of him in the future, so check back this Friday. Mallory: You'll also find out about the filters and what they use. The Alien series continues with “Alien: Romulus.” Christopher: It's a big hit, and it's highly anticipated with “Alien: Romulus.” The scavengers think they can quickly clear out a spaceship that's been left in space, but they know they're going to get into trouble with aliens that are familiar to all of us. It's got everything you'd expect from the series: beautiful, tense photography, great art design, and plenty of eye-catching alien faces. It's a sequel to the first two films, but it's a standalone story with new characters. It's not a sequel; they call it an “interquel,” which I think is a term they just coined. It stars someone from “Priscilla,” and the cast of young scavengers is mostly fresh faces. You can check out the new film at the Oriental Theatre this Friday. Mallory: I'm sure a lot of fans are excited to see it. “Alien” was in my top five and I named my cat Ripley,
