TORONTO , Aug. 13, 2024 /CNW/ – OLLY Canada is proud to announce a major milestone in its ongoing commitment to transforming women's health. Building on the success of its women's health and sexual health supplement products launched in 2023, OLLY hosted an event with support from Women's College Hospital Foundation (WCHF) in Toronto to address unspoken challenges in women's health.

The launch of OLLY's women's health and sexual health supplement range in 2023 marked a pivotal moment in addressing women's health with products designed by women for women. The range includes Lovin' Libido, Beat the Bloat and Happy Hoo-Ha, innovative supplements that help support and address common challenges women experience around libido, bloating and vaginal health. OLLY's values are rooted not only in its products but also in its actions. From leading and driving discussions around women's health and mental health to launching a women's health supplement range globally in 2023, OLLY continues to make an impact. Notably, the range's Happy Hoo-Ha won the award for Best New Female Supplement from consumers earlier this year. OLLY remains dedicated to destigmatizing and normalizing these important conversations, reinforcing its commitment to women's health, which was also seen at today's event.
“At OLLY, our goal is not only to create products that address women's unmet needs, but to break the silence around women's health issues and pave the way for a more inclusive future,” said OLLY CEO Hanneke Willenborg. “Our support of Canada's Women's College Hospital Foundation was born from a shared vision to advance women's health equity and support their important research. This paves the way for creating forums for women to speak boldly about their health issues, like we saw at today's event, and allows OLLY to remain committed to driving meaningful change.”
This year's event was moderated by Martine Saint-Victor, Managing Director of Edelman Montreal, and featured a panel discussion including OLLY CEO Hanneke Willenborg, Canadian professional ice hockey player Sarah Nurse, Monday Girl co-founder Rachel Wong, and Dr. Ileana Rega, Women's Health Fellow at the Women's College Research Institute (WCRI) at Women's College Hospital (WCH).
The panelists engaged the audience in important discussions about women's health, sharing personal experiences and practical solutions to start a dialogue about a topic that is often taboo. “Women's health is a conversation that needs to be elevated and embraced,” said Nurse. “I'm proud to be part of this incredible event with OLLY and contribute to a movement that breaks down the barriers and stigma surrounding women's health. This event is an important step forward in acknowledging and addressing the unique challenges women face in their daily lives.”
The story continues
Each panelist was carefully selected to share their unique perspective and expertise during the conversation. Willenborg highlighted OLLY's future plans to continue supporting women's health needs and the impact OLLY's women's wellness and sexual health supplement products have on overall health. Wong provided insight into the impact of women's health on career advancement and the importance of supporting health initiatives in professional environments. Nurse shared her experience advocating for women's health awareness in the sports world, also touching on the challenges and successes of women's health and equality in sports. Finally, Rega shared her medical expertise in the industry, highlighting the importance of research and innovative treatments in raising awareness for improving women's health outcomes and increasing access to healthcare.
“This incredible support from OLLY is crucial in promoting research and raising awareness about women's health issues. Their commitment to eliminating stigma around these issues is invaluable in our efforts to improve women's health,” Lega emphasizes. The event not only discusses women's health, but actively works to eliminate stigma and foster a more inclusive dialogue. OLLY is dedicated to creating a space where women can openly share their health journeys and learn from each other.
OLLY is making a significant impact through multi-year initiatives, beginning this year with a $25,000 donation to the Women's College Hospital Foundation, the foundation's largest support of any in health research. “We are committed to addressing often overlooked research and conversations about women's health issues by fostering open and honest conversations and funding the research needed to address these issues,” Willenborg adds.
