“Y'all want to rank Jordan? Jordan shouldn't be ranked,” Marbury said. “You should pick Kobe, LeBron and then the guys after that. There's no comparison. It's not the same. It's just a different world, a different mentality.”
“I don't know why Jordan's name comes up every now and again in the same conversation,” he added.
Basketball fans, especially Bron fans, did not take this comment lightly. They took to social media to make sarcastic comments about Marbury's reputation being tarnished by his consumption of Vaseline. Below are some of the reactions:

“While LeBron was winning MVP, averaging 28 points per game and playing in the conference finals, Stephon Marbury was smearing Vaseline on himself and crying on camera. A lot of them are just really upset that they failed and he succeeded. Period,” said another.
Did Stephon Marbury eat Vaseline?
Stephon Marbury ate Vaseline live on air. The incident occurred in 2009 when Marbury was suffering from a sore throat. Marbury explained that someone had told him that his grandmother had been drinking Vaseline to cure a sore throat, so he decided to give it a try. The moment was captured on video and widely circulated.
Marbury later spoke about the incident, implying that it was a difficult time in his life. He confessed that he was in a dark place at the time, struggling with depression and suicidal thoughts, according to a CBS News report.
